Katherine (“KK”) Jenkins is a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Health Science from Georgia State University (GSU). Before moving to Atlanta, KK gained experience working within diverse educational communities while teaching Kindergarten in Costa Rica and 9th grade English in Columbus, Georgia. She later worked in Clinical Nutrition at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and as a Graduate Assistant for GSU Panther Dining. As an intern for the MCS School Nutrition Program, KK saw her passion for nutrition and food service perfectly combine with her love for working within an educational community. She is thrilled to be working alongside of the incredible CCSD FNS team to fuel student success and encourage life-long healthy habits that enhance students’ overall well-being.
